Why do we need to use Wordpress for our Presell page?

I was watching the videos and I see where John is recommended that we integrate wordpress and clickfunnels. I am trying to understand why we are doing if it is leading to the same presell content. I see also see he recommends the wordpress site for youtube ads.

WordPress is only needed if using Clickfunnels.

If you can’t afford to, or wish not to use Clickfunnels you can use the manual method.
