The syllabus in all courses

How should I be using the syllabus?

I am still learning, starting Module 11 today. Here’s what I do: I put up the syllabus on the screen, and in another window I put up the next video. I keep an eye on each sentence coming up with a blank to fill in, and when John speaks that sentence in the video, I fill in the blank. The sentences are almost always exact replicas of some sentence uttered in the video. So this way I can later come back to the syllabus and review the key points of the lesson without having to watch the whole video again.

This is definitely not the only way to do this. Initially, I tried to fill in the blanks after watching the video, sort of treating it like a test. But sometimes I could not recall the exact word used, and so with this approach the syllabus was not an accurate representation of what John said . I started over and adopted the above approach, and it works better for me. But you kilometerage may vary! Good luck, have fun, and stay safe.
