Nasty Comment on ad

I just posted my ads to facebook for the completion of week 1. I recieved a really nasty comment which I had to delete right away as it would be bad for sales. Just wondering if you guys turn off comments on your ads. You can do that right?

Had to Block the guy because he kept commenting after I deleted his ad and it was just pathetic.

Hi,

You can turn off commenting if it gets crazy and you want to block people that make nasty comments. There are people out there that spend their days doing nothing but that. Does not matter what you are advertising.

Yes I will have to do that now. I just got a second person being very belligerent for no reason. I am worried they are going to report my ad then I have to deal with facebook shutting my ads down.

I was running a pet food ad and people were saying all kinds of things… it was crazy! I had to shut them down also.

I just limited what they can say, basically every cuss word ever said they can no longer say haha

@nmurphy08.How can you limit what they say ,I am also facing a similar problem.

Thanks, guys. How about blocking the ability to react to it? I too have a time-intensive angry comment (which I deleted) but I also have someone who put a unhappy face as her reaction. Weird behavior. This is the ingrained culture that we’re up against, even within us, that we must battle!

Just go to your business page on facebook. Hit settings, then scroll down the page until you see page moderation. Then you can type all the words you don’t wan’t them to be able to say.

I am unsure, I was wondering that too. I’d like to get rid of the laughing and angry emoji’s

I don’t think there is a way to block those. You would have to just block the person when they do it.

Hi Sheryl, You said you were running a pet food ad. Do you have another website for that? Just wondering, thanks!

Hi, Yes, you can read about it here: https://lifesabundance.com/Opportunity/Opportunity.aspx?realname=10042129&cat=5&hdr=&Ath=True&crt=0

I swear. I asked them about all the nasty comments. I am awaiting their answer. If we all targeted the same people with the same ads, don’t you think we would get nasty comments. Isn’t this bad for business?

i had this problem when i was running regular traffic…once i switched to a LAL audience based on his list, the negative garbage disappeared…

Hi Jack,
I had same thing happen; I just hid them and tried to put a positive spin on comments where I could.

The lists you use are not targeting the same people, they are used to create an audience for an ad. Yes, some people could see the same ad from different people but there are millions of people on FB - I have never seen an ad on my FB for John’s product and I belong to a lot of affiliate marketing groups.

What is LAL audience?

That is a Look a Like audience.

Is a LAL audience something that we will learn about more after week 1? Or do I find that in support desk or youtube that? You say based on “his list”, so I am assuming that is something we will learn more about that. I am just about to post my ad, but I thought I would check in here first for updates on better performing details.
