A better practice would be to concentrate on daily spent.

Regardless of how much the product costs, it is best to ‘test the waters’ first by setting a daily budget of around $10, and capping max CPC if advertising on Google at about $0.5.

On FB, with the same $10 daily budget you’d see how many impressions, clicks, and CTR you’ll get.

Then run this ad for 5-7 days and then look at the results.

Then based on these results, you may scale your budget up or down.
