Facebook 'Ad Set Completed?'

Hi guys I’ve just let my facebook ad run overnight and it was running fine yesterday and ive just seen this morning that it says ‘ad set completed’ or ‘recently completed’ now I’ve got my daily budget and schedule on £5 maximum daily and end date as run as ongoing. In my ads manager, it says ive only spent £0.19, also I have charged on impressions ticked, is that right?

Hey Dylan,

You’ll have your budget set but that doesn’t mean you’ll spend that much.

You’ll only get charged when people click on your ads

Surely it would be better to get charged when someone actually clicks my link? and any idea why my ad said ‘recently completed’? does that mean it has stopped running to the public?

Check this guide for help on the different statuses:

To check the status of your campaign, ad set or ad, look in the Delivery column in Ads Manager. A campaign, ad set or ad’s delivery status can show you how well it’s delivering or help you detect any problems. Use this guide to understand what each status means.

Campaigns

  • Active: At least one ad in your campaign is on and running normally. If you want to turn off your campaign, click the button. When it turns grey the campaign is off.

  • Inactive: Your campaign is off. As a result, any ad sets and ads in the campaign won’t deliver until you’ve turned your campaign on.

  • Not delivering: Your campaign is not delivering. This may be due to the recent completion of all ad sets in the campaign, or all ad sets and ads in the campaign are off.

  • Completed: Your campaign is now complete because all ad sets in the campaign completed delivery. You can edit the ad set to adjust the schedule and continue running the campaign.

  • Deleted: You deleted your campaign.

  • Active: At least one ad in your ad set is on and running normally. If you want to turn off your ad set, click the button. If it is grey, the ad set is off.

  • Limited: Your ad set is on target to spend less than 75% of its budget. Learn more about limited delivery and how to avoid it.
