Dashboard Inconsisteny between video and actual

In the 4th Welcome video - Dashboard - John shows the Dashboard with Promote your Afflilate Links for Free and Get Started in the top Right hand corner. My Dashboard does NOT have these functions shown. Why? These inconsistencies between the video and tha resource are frustrating and cause confusion.> Please help me understand why the screens are not the same.
