Coolhandle Vs. Bluehost

I’m a little confused because John says that the recommended host is Coolhandle and walks us through setting it up with the presell page but the rest of the time he is using Bluehost which he does’t show how to set it up. I am using Coolhendle which so far has been a terrible experience. First they gave my a generic domain and not the one I typed in. I then paid for another domain to replace the one they gave me. The new domain does’t work. I can never get a hold of technical support and customer service is only Monday thru Friday 9 to 5. I had an appointment with someone who was supposed to call me at an appointed time and never received a call. So I am stuck here and can’t move on until I get this resolved. My thought is to cancel Coolhandle and go with Bluehost. Is there a video that shows how to set up Bluehost? Any advice?

I’m having the same issue. Had domain problems with Coolhandle which they could not resolve so I switched to Bluehost. Now I don’t have any guidance and I want to get my first campaign launched. I’m looking for some direction.

I personally recommend Bluehost. They’re much more user friendly.

They have 24/7 support, provide a free domain name (Coolhandle give ugly urls with numbers in as standard!), free SSL certificate and already have WordPress installed.

Another student actually noticed they’re about $9 cheaper too!

If you select the 12 month option, it’s around $72.

I know Coolhandle and Bluehost have been recommended here, but I’m still edging on using Siteground, because I know it’s about the best hosting company around. I have used it before, and I’ve definitely put sites together before, so being able to do what John says to do is not an issue for me personally. Siteground may also be more expensive. If you need to be able to follow John’s instructions exactly without any deviations whatsoever, stick with what John says for sure. But if you’re comfortable setting up sites, getting into the file system, and working with WordPress, I’ve compared a good number of hosts and Siteground is a top of the line hosting company you can completely rely on. That’s just my opinion.

I am getting an error message on coolhandle when I am trying to install wordpress:

First it was saying that “you can’t park your main domain” and would not let me install wordpress. Now its saying that my servers are not correct; I’ve checked and they are. Has anyone else had this issue?

In my opinion, you should scrap Coolhandle and go for Bluehost… much more user friendly and fabulous support

I made the switch to Bluehost!

In this thread you will see links which lead to videos on how to set up Bluehost. I used them.

Yes I’ve had the same problems and I am totally lost. I signed up with blue Host as recommended and have no help. I am thinking about requesting my money back for the program, since I will have to pay for coaching from Blue host. The teaching is not clear and Im just frustrated at this point.

Hi Mary! Bluehost is actually quite straightforward, and we do have Guides and videos about that. Also, please don’t hesitate to contact us on [email protected], so we can help you get started and set-up a call if needed!

@IlyaG Hello, I noticed that Week 2’s course has changed from setting up Coolhandle to now setting up BlueHost !! Does this mean I really DO need to cancel Coolhandle and make the switch? I had gone back to figure out my mistakes, and realized the change. Please advise, thanks!

If you have Coolhandle, it’s perfectly fine to stick with these

Thank you @Sabrina, I just went with BlueHost  So although I’m technically in Week 3 of the course, I am back into Week 2’s trainings to make sure I set this all up correctly. Question, not sure if it’s already been answered…but, I followed the steps to the manual method, done. I’m about to start the clickfunnels method…do I have to “undo” what I just did manually? Or will I be able to continue smoothly on to the clickfunnels method with no problem? I recall that was an issue in Coolhandle, where we were unable to do both, had to choose one method or the other…wondering if in BH, will run into the same. Thanks!

You only need one method, so if you want to stick to the free manual method, you’re good to go.

If further down the line you want to switch to Clickfunnels and promote other offers quickly and easily, you can just delete all of the files in your file manager and proceed to set up in CF.

Please see our PDF tutorial on how to set up your domain in Clickfunnels:

@Sabrina Thank you! I followed the Click Funnels training, and it looks like it’s good to go. But I didn’t delete the files from the manual training. Is it absolutely necessary that I delete them?

@jensarmiento3

Yes, as if the manual files are still there it will override the clickfunnels method so you’d be essentially paying for CF for nothing
