The current school systems do not seem to prepare you for anything other than becoming an employee, and in many ways, universities have become cash cows. I've read at least couple thousand books. Here's what I've learned. The author of the book is most important.
For spiritual books "The Eye of the I: From Which Nothing is Hidden", by David R. Hawkins is by far the best I've read. There is a warning in the front.
"Beyond Teaching and Learning" by Win Wenger. Very powerful learning techniques.
Mostly now I just focus on skills as John stated in his video. He is correct about that.
The way the mind is is that it starts to make connections as we learn some new subject. At first the new subject may seem incomprehensible but as the mind starts making these connections it gets easier.
